Incremental Community Development Scenarios Concept
Incremental Community Concept allows organic community growth which adapts to the contemporary needs of individuals and community. Constructing an Incremental Community requires understandings of user needs and integration of different living system to serve and govern the users. These systems include Organizational System, which forms development structure, establishes governance rules, facilitates ownership, etc.; Living Solution System, which provides adaptable living solutions; Infrastructure Network, which suggests shareable community amenities and upgradeable supportive infrastructure.
 
Incremental Community harmonious living environment which is inclusive and equitable. Incremental Community can be established in many ways. For example, in this research project which explores a hybrid of bottom-up and top-down, the community could be work through a hybridization of Community Land Trust (CLT), which recycle and control the land for community-oriented development; and Limited Equity Cooperative (LEC), which collectively develops and manages the properties and other resources. create
 
In the video, the Incremental Community scenarios are created at two sites in Hazelwood Community, Pittsburgh - Below Track and 2nd Ave to show the flexibility of the development scenarios at similar or complete different locations in the community. The scenarios are generated through a rational combination of incremental components to illustrate the flexibility of inner community revitalization and resource arrangement for the existing residents and future users.
